Mike Keith is a well-known American sportscaster, born on September 11, 1967. He has a lot of experience in sports broadcasting, giving commentary and analysis for baseball, football, and other sports.

Currently, he is the radio play-by-play announcer for the University of Tennessee’s football team. At 58 years old, Mike is famous for his enthusiastic catchphrase, “Touchdown Titans!” which he says with a strong emphasis on “Titans” after each touchdown, followed by a loud cheer.

In his early life, Mike got interested in broadcasting when he was just 7 years old, thanks to his dad taking him to University of Tennessee football and basketball games. While he was in elementary school in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he participated in a program where he got to do a mock newscast.

In 1977, his family moved to Franklin, a suburb of Nashville. He attended Battle Ground Academy for high school, where he played as a wide receiver, punter, and defensive back on the school’s football team.

In 1996, Bud Adams, the owner of the Houston Oilers in the NFL, announced that he would move his team to Nashville. At that time, Mike Keith began hosting a pre-game show for Tennessee stations that aired Oilers games, even while the team was still in Houston. In 1997, he became the network’s scoreboard host and then switched to being a color commentator in 1998. By 1999, he took on the role of play-by-play announcer.

Since he started as the play-by-play voice, Mike has celebrated every Titans touchdown with his famous phrase, “Touchdown Titans!” One of his most memorable moments was during the Music City Miracle, which happened at the end of his first season as a play-by-play announcer.
