In December 2000 I began my mission in my country to fight for trans rights. In 2002, I was a co-founder of the Philippine Transsexual Women’s Association (Lehman), a pioneer of Philippine transgender rights organizations. My advocacy summit was my speech at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on December 9th, 2009. This speech helped the World Professional Association of Transgender Health to recognize my valuable contribution to lawyers for equality and rights in Harry Benjamin’s distinguished educational advocacy award in 2014. In 2013, I was the first Filipino immigrant student to receive the Echo Award, which is awarded annually to a distinguished and promising immigrant student. After graduating from Leiden University College in 2014, I was awarded the Global Citizenship Award. This was awarded to students for recognition of participatory citizenship. and 2017 I became the first Filipino transsexual woman to do regular political columns in the Philippine newspaper (Manila Times).hand and dyslexia on the left, I’m an extroverted extrovert who likes to read, travel, write poetry, listen to music, listen to bedroom DJs: watching movies, walking, cooking.
