Senator Natasha Akpoti Biography :Akpoti was born to a Nigerian father and a Ukrainian mother and trained at Abuja University. Before entering politics under the Social Democrats during the 2019 Kogi State governor election and campaigning for the Senate, she founded the Builder Hub Impact Investment Program (BHIIP). Akpoti has been awarded the African Women’s Leadership Award from former Liberia vice president Jewel Taylor. After her efforts to revive Ajaokuta Steel Mill, she was awarded the Presidential Award from the Nigerian Engineering Association in December 2017.

Akpoti comes from the Evira tribe of Kogi Province. She was born on December 9, 1979, the second of four children. Her father, Jimo Abdul Akpoty, comes from Kogi and her mother, Ludmira Krakchenk, from Chernivutssi, Ukraine. She grew up in Okihama. Her father passed away in 1998. She went to law school and was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 2005. In 2011, she received her MBA in Oil and Gas Management at Dundee University. [4] Akpoti is a mother of three children. On March 5, 2022, she married Emmanuel Uduagan at a ceremony in Ihima.

Akpoti worked as a legal counsel at Brass LNG from 2007 to 2010. In 2015, she founded the Builder’s Hub Impact Investment Program. She was in the spotlight on March 1, 2018 when she presented her investigation report to the National Assembly, revealing corruption at the Ajaocta Steel Factory. The report was rejected by the Minen Ministry of Steel Development and misinformation was admitted. Another group claims she sponsors the campaign. After the legal hearing of the High Court in Abuja, authoritative newspapers Ifani Uba and Williams Orji were instructed to pay Naira 10 million for the slandered publications against them.
