Kathryn Barger Biography: Kathryn Ann Barger-Leibrich is a politician from the United States who has been serving the 5th District on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors since 2016. Right now, she is the Chair of Los Angeles County, a position she also held from 2019 to 2020.

As a member of the Republican Party, Kathryn previously worked as the Chief Deputy Supervisor and Chief of Staff for former Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich before she started her own term. She stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds.

Kathryn Barger began her journey in government back in 1988 as an intern for Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich. By 2001, she had worked her way up to become his Chief of Staff. Since 2016, she has been a member of the Board of Supervisors, representing the 5th District, which is the largest district in Los Angeles County, covering an area of 2,785 square miles and including 20 cities along with 83 unincorporated regions.

Throughout her career, Barger has concentrated on helping veterans, foster kids, improving mental health services, finding solutions for homelessness, and enhancing public safety. She has co-authored important motions aimed at updating mental health care, tackling homelessness, and establishing the Blue Ribbon Commission on Public Safety.
